Bloomberg Government: Federal Contractors on Unclassified Prime Contracts at Lowest Level in 10 Years

According to a recent article published by Bloomberg, the federal supplier base continued to shrink in fiscal 2018.

Despite a steady rise in government contract spending, the number of federal contractors working on unclassified prime contracts is at its lowest level in 10 years. There has been a 27% drop since fiscal 2009, with a vendor count reported at 115,000 in fiscal 2018.
