Starting in late April, the General Services Administration began reaching out to companies in the competitive range to let them know next steps in the procurement process. Agencies use the governmentwide contract to buy a variety of IT products and services from qualifying 8(a) small businesses.
According to an article by washingtontechnology.com,
Companies who received the late April notice from GSA have some work to do. The document makes clear that their proposals are in the competitive range, but adds there are “significant weakness(es), deficiency(ies) and/or adverse past performance information” in their proposals.
The GSA is planning on having discussions with these companies and letting them submit revised proposals.
